This Month: The San Diego Dermatology Symposium

Dr. Jashin Wu details the upcoming San Diego Dermatology Symposium designed to educate and inspire dermatologists, residents, and other medical professionals.

“I’m hoping you can join us for the third annual San Diego dermatologist Symposium on March 11 through 13 of this year,” said Jashin J. Wu, MD, FAAD, Founder and Course Director of the San Diego Dermatology Symposium (SDDS).

“This is a live, in-person meeting at the Hilton San Diego Bay Front in San Diego, California, sponsored by the dermatology Research and Education Foundation.”

The 3-day symposium offers a total of 15 CME credits. Registration includes complimentary access to the virtual Skin Cancer Symposium held in June 2022 for an additional 15 (total 30) CME credits, said Dr. Wu.

Notably, registration is free for the first 50 dermatology residents to register and a few slots are still available.

“We have some really fantastic speakers—Larry Eichenfield speaking about atopic dermatitis warts, and molluscum; Ron Moy speaking about aesthetic dermatology; and Neil Bhatia speaking about acne, rosacea, and actinic keratoses and nonmelanoma skin cancers.”

John Koo, MD, FAAD, and Dr. Wu will discuss psoriasis, including oral, topical, and phototherapies as well as precision medicine considerations.

“Also, I’ll be speaking about a topic rarely seen in dermatology conferences: personal finance and stock investing. So I’ll be discussing how and why to invest in stocks; the difference between stocks, mutual funds, and ETFs; stock terminology; and how to analyze stocks.”
